  • Overview

    General Summary:

    The Construction Manager is responsible for the timely completion of construction projects while ensuring the required quality is obtained.   


    Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Prepare zoning and building permit applications, review title policies, monitor all files and follow-up with local jurisdictions for the status of applications.
    • Collaborate with peers on processes, procedures and developing standards.
    • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
    • Manage subcontractors work to ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations
    • Maintain project calendar and communicate critical deadlines to appropriate staff and committees.
    • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients, representing the owner or developer.
    • Provide valuable solutions to problems at arise.
    • Ensure projects are completed within designated parameters.
    • Adhere to local, state and federal regulations as applicable.
    • Exercises good judgment and problem resolution.
    • Shifts workload based on priority demands.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and methodologies
    • Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications with knowledge of all trades
    • Must be able to manage construction management services while collaborating with internal and external clients.
    • Must have excellent follow through
    • The ability to effectively manage changes in priority and scope
    • A job record of commendable work product
    • A reputation for being an accurate professional as well as gracious and flexible
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong computer and software skills
    • Excellent Customer Service Skills



    Education and Experience:

    • General Contractor’s License Required
    • 5+ years of previous Construction Management Required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
