Overview

The primary responsibilities for the Electrician are to ensure that electrical systems are properly maintained and operating correctly within the Charter Schools and other company properties. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks and scheduled assignments to ensure that electrical systems are properly maintained and operating correctly
  • Communicate directly with dispatchers multiple times a day to relay ongoing site task for real time customer updates
  • Respond to emergency service calls as directed.
  • Diagnoses trouble or defect, determines corrective action and repairs system
  • Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on electrical systems and components
  • Tests and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation
  • Identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work, system upgrades and communicates these opportunities to the proper individuals
  • Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, and adjustments on electrical systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation instructions
  • May coordinate electrical installation with concrete contractor at job sites required
  • Completes and submits electronic service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity daily
  • Participates in job site final walk and/or final completion
  • Facilities Electrician will have experience with voltages up to 480 VAC
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in repairing building utility / site services equipment
  • Facilities Electrician will have proven ability to run electrical conduit and wiring installations
  • Building Lighting Systems maintenance and programming
  • Proven knowledge of current State and Local Building, NEC, NFPA, OSHA and other regulatory codes and requirements
  • Facilities Electrician will possess ability to read prints and single line diagrams

Qualifications

  • Must be Journeyman Electrician
  • Facilities Electrician will have experience with voltages up to 480 VAC
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in repairing building utility / site services equipment
  • Facilities Electrician will have proven ability to run electrical conduit and wiring installations
  • Building Lighting Systems maintenance and programming
  • Proven knowledge of current State and Local Building, NEC, NFPA, OSHA and other regulatory codes and requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skill
  • Facilities Electrician will possess ability to read prints and single line diagrams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills
  • Valid Electrical License Preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience working as a journeyman electrician with experience in industrial and/or commercial installations, operations and maintenance
